How many trips will this take?
This is one of the better combinations. Orthodontics is a months-to-years commitment with regular in-person reviews. This is the one procedure on this site we frequently advise travelling patients NOT to start in China unless they live in the region. Coming back here is unusually easy: Zhuhai is a walk across the Gongbei crossing from Macau, and reachable from Hong Kong via the HZMB bridge. For anyone in the Greater Bay Area, a return trip is a day out rather than an expedition.
| Visits needed | an initial scan and fitting, then reviews every 6–10 weeks for months |
| Second trip required? | Yes — see above |

What it costs
reported ~¥15,000–¥40,000 all-in for a full course.
Honest limit: our partner clinics are in Shanghai only, so we have no listed partner price to show you for Zhuhai. The range above is a reference range compiled from our own guides. Anything real needs an examination and an itemised written quote.

Can you fit this into a short visit?
No, and be wary of anyone who says otherwise. The scan and fitting fit a short crossing from Macau, but the reviews run for months — this only makes sense if you can keep coming back.
Where the clinics are in Zhuhai
The dental clinics concentrate around Gongbei (拱北), right at the Macau border crossing — a compact area you can walk, which makes comparing clinics straightforward.
Zhuhai is often cited as one of the better-value spots on the mainland — real traveller reports include single implants around ¥5,000–¥8,000. Because clinics are clustered and competitive, pricing is transparent.
Getting there
From Macau: walk across at the Gongbei Port of Entry. From Hong Kong: take the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge directly into Zhuhai. By air: Zhuhai Jinwan Airport (ZUH), or fly into Macau (MFM) and cross. We’ll sort the crossing and any visa questions.
Travel and recovery notes for clear aligners
The cost saving is real, but the review schedule is the binding constraint. Some clinics will co-manage with a dentist at home — ask before you start, not after.
Who this suits: Expats living in China, or people in Hong Kong, Macau and the wider region who can attend reviews without a long flight.
